25 days of Christmas meme
1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? Depends on the object, if it's a box, I like wrapping paper. If it's odd shape, then gift bag.
2. Real tree or Artificial? We have artificial, although I love the look & smell of real tree...just not the hassle.
3. When do you put up the tree? day after Thanksgiving if not earlier! It HAS to be after Halloween though
4. Do you like eggnog? Never had any
5. Favorite gift received as a child? Cabbage Patch kid
6. Hardest person to buy for? Parents.
7. Easiest person to buy for? My kids.
8. Do you have a nativity scene? 2 I believe...no 3. One "foam and felt" hanging one, one Playmobile set, and one nice set.

3. Do you own a gun? No, but we have thought about getting one.
4. Do you like listening to Christmas music? Yes...and I'm upset that I can not find my Christmas music since we moved. NOT a good time to lose it!
5. Do you get nervous before doctor appointments? depends on the appointment, but I'm never "calm"
6. What do you think of hot dogs? eh...I can do without them....much prefer johnsonville brats

Creative Meme
*yeah I know I said I'd post Halloween photos, but I've not gotten them downloaded off the camera yet....shame on me!*
I've been tagged by Nik over at Exceptional Voyage for this creative Meme.
You are supposed to find the 6th folder in your pictures directory and post the 6th photo in it.
So here are the instructions:
* Go to your sixth picture folder then pick your sixth picture.
* Pray that you remember the details.
* Tag 5 others, leave a comment to let them know they've been tagged.
*eh-hmmm* I have 4 hard drives. 3 are dedicated to photos. 1 is the C drive. I'm not sure WHICH picture directory I'm supposed to show you. Then, finding the 6th folder isn't so hard, but the 6th folder typically has sub-folders and not images...so finding the 6th image...yeah...that's the part I'm getting hung up on.
So, here are some of my "6th" images that I did find. :)
Katie - newly home from China, during my first "oh my gosh I have a daughter and I'm not jet-lagged so badly that I can't operate my camera photo session"
Wow - Zoo trip. I believe this was...umm...Samuel's itty bitty...probably around 3? Or 2? I remember it was in the spring. But it was not the zoo trip Feb 2006, so I'm going to say March 2005. YES, that's right. Because I was coughed on quite a bit by a family with really snotty nosed kids who looked like they were feeling terrible, and their father is the one who REALLY coughed, and sneezed, and moaned around me. It was about a week to a week and a half later that I found myself in the ER with a medicated 104 fever and the flu.

Tagged? How could she?!
TongguMomma tagged me in this fun Meme. I think she already knew I was just a tad on the quirky side. In order not to fully embarrass myself, I'll try to take the random and weird facts from only one aspect of my life. Yeah. That says a lot about me doesn't it!
7 random and weird facts about me?! Uhmmm..hmmmm...okay.
1. In my very last marching band competition for high school, I fell in the middle. Right before I was to play a solo, standing ALONE on the 50 yard line...with mud dripping off the bell of my mellophone. The band director NEVER saw it.
2. Thanks to high school marching band/season I know the entire counterpoint for the song "Prince Ali" from Aladdin.
3. Thanks to the entire low brass section (of which I was part) and the fact that there were I think 5 females, I learned how to correct spit. I also got to hear the rating scale they used for the girls walking by, and I would correct their impressions..."An 8?! Her? Nah....she talks bad about people who think are her friends behind their backs. I'd give her a 4."
4. I didn't know a single THING about the game of football other than a touchdown was scored when someone with the ball ran into the end zone. I had NO idea what a first down was, what 4th down meant, off-sides, and all the various things...until my Senior year of high school. Yes, I went to EVERY single football game from my Freshman year on, all the post-season playoffs, and did not learn anything about it until the low brass section took me hand.
5. I played powder puff football my Junior year.
*umm, did you catch that? Re-read #5 and #4...notice anything ODD?*
6. I missed playing my french horn so much, that after I got married and moved to Tucson, AZ I joined the Pima Community College band. I had not played in 2 years and ended up first chair. Still not sure how that happened as the others in that band were good.
7. I also have played in church orchestras since being married, but the last time I played was when I was pregnant with Samuel. Morning sickness and playing the french horn didn't go so well together.
*extra: Did you know that if you put an M&M in the bell of the french horn and blow REALLY hard it will fly out the back and hit the trombone players behind you?*

9 on the 9th
In honor of the Olympics. My top 9 "sporting" events. Are you ready? No really...sports. Which do you think I would medal in?
9. Croquet at my parents house. I "rocked"...oh yes I did! It was on a hill, a very steep hill. Our goal was to hit the ball through as many "arches" as possible. Best solution? Line up the arches with less than 3 inches between them, pointing STRAIGHT down the hill. Set up little brother at the bottom to catch the ball. Hit the ball through the first arch. BINGO! You win. ;)
8. Frisbee. Yes I can throw a frisbee, almost as well as I can hula hoop. If you want to play with me, the only skills you will really need is to have a GREAT pair of running legs. Yes Ma'am, I can throw the frisbee but I can not aim it. ;)
7. Hula Hoop. See, I said "almost as well as I can hula hoop." Doesn't that leave you HOPEFUL for this sport and medaling? I can get it to rotate at least once or twice by the sheer force of the spin from my hands! Seriously, I can keep a hula hoop up for at least a few seconds...even after all the years that have passed since that summer I learned how to hula hoop.
6. Roller Skating. Yes, I spent many an hour going 'round and 'round the old skating rink listening to such wonderful hits as Thriller. Recently, one of my children was invited to a skating party (doesn't that bring back memories) and I managed to not totally embarrass myself. I fell down only a few times. So what if I only ventured out on the rink a few times. Falling hurts. I tried to skate backwards and quickly realized the error of my ways and why I had never truly mastered that as a child. Twirling in circles? Forgettaboutit.
5. Gymnastics. I can do a somersault (that's a rolling flip thing right?). I tried to show my kids how to do a kartwheelthe other day a year or so ago and when I ended up 90 degrees away from the direction I started with a strong twinge in my upper leg and my kids dh rolling on the grass laughing because of how bent my legs were...I decided that my glory days must have ended a few years ago. That's why gymnasts at the Olympics are younger. Right?
4. Swimming. I'm great at the short distance underwater event. Really. I think I could win that 4 foot race. While I can swim, I'm not terribly interested in racing others (too much work). Not to mention as a child I failed my beginner's class repeatedly because I could not swim in a straight line on top of the water. Thus, I mainly swim underwater.
3. Running. Again, I believe I could win the short distance event. I'm great at the driveway dash. You know the one. You view your child about to run into the street where you imagine a car is going to come racing by...so you dash down the driveway to sweep your child out of danger. Being out breath at the end is only due to the adrenalin from the great fear of your child being struck down by that imaginary car. Yes...that's it. Adrenalin.
2. Softball. Hey, I actually played softball as a child. I was so proud of the game that I learned how to keep score for coach! I can sometimes hit the ball. I can even "catch" a ground ball hit RIGHT TO ME going sort of slow! Aren't you proud? I do believe though that I could be on the winning team. I'd do a wonderful job of keeping the score book. ;)
1. Bicycling. I enjoy a nice leisurely bicycle ride on the bicycle path. Yes, I do. It's so enjoyable to feel the air gently blowing in my face. I really enjoy that half mile little ride to the "hill" and then that half mile ride back to the van. Nice flat enjoyable bicycle path. I typically stay with Samuel while Dh and JM ride the 3 mile each way trip. They catch up with me near the van...when I'm done! Did you really think that they rode that entire almost 6 miles before I even got out of the VAN?! Really. Who do you think has to get the bikes OUT of the van thus ensuring that I actually leave the van for our family outing. Hmph. ;)
As this is Summer Olympics, I left out my accounts of ice skating (similar to roller skating...execept they have a nice lovely little "bar" to skate with now....) and my account of snow skiing (green bunny hills are my friend!).

9 on the 9th
This is just too much fun to pass up! :) 9 on the 9th monthly meme, and this is the FIRST ever.
Okay, honestly, I was coming from Tonggu Momma's 9 on the 9th, and would really like to steal her idea. Maybe I should ask her. I mean, what better way for you to get to know me than to know 9 of my most embarrassing moments. OH WAIT...there are people I actually see and know who read this blog. Ummm...perhaps not.
The 9 best things about having boys! Yeah, I can do that. :)
9. You have an excuse to do armpit farts.
8. If you ever do see a real snake, you won't scream as you'll think it's another plastic one.
7. You get the chance to perfect the silent scream because of hidden legoes in the carpet when you go to kiss them goodnight after they are asleep.
6. You get the chance to learn that fake vomit, fake poo, and other such gross items are funny.
5. You learn the difference between a real cry that needs attention and one that is not...especially if you have multiple boys in your family.
4. You learn to fully define what clean means - their hair MUST be wet down to the roots, the back and sides of the hair must smell like shampoo as well, teeth should not look like they are growing things AFTER they've been brushed, a clean room does not have legoes in the carpet...
3. You know the difference between soccer cleats, baseball cleats, and football cleats and why they are not interchangeable.
2. You learn that breakfast made by your sons, with "flowers" picked by their hands, is really special. (Not to mention you wonder what they want....)
1. You learn that little boys really do LOVE their Mommy, and that your heart can melt when your 5 year old wants to marry you when he grows up.

Quirks about you? I like to talk....a lot.
How would the person who loves you the most describe you in ten words or less? Ummm...I'm really not sure. I might be a little scared to find out.
Any regrets in life? Yes
Favorite charity or cause? Charity - Love Without Boundaries, followed closely by A Child's Right, followed closely by Half the Sky....then OH so many more!
Favorite blog recently? Recent favorite? Oh ummm...well...ummm....how recent? In the past 6 months, most of the ones linked to the right PLUS many that I have bookmarked. Nothing "new" in the last month.
Something you cannot get enough of? hugs from my kids
Worst job you ever had? Fastfood...I have a greater appreciation for the workers...especially the ones on drive thru.
What job would you pay NOT to have? Anything in the medical profession! (I'm LOL here, I would LOVE being a Math teacher and Cheri (the one who tagged me) is in the medical profession (nursing).
If you could be a fly on the wall, where? Not sure. Would love to be in China in Katie's foster home to see how they are doing and learn about them, would also love to see into so many "places" as well.

Guilty pleasure? Romance novels.
Got any confessions? I'm not in the mood to take photos.
If you had to spend $1000 on yourself, how would you spend it? On me? oh man, I'm just not sure. Me personally? clothes, makeup, shoes. What I want? furniture for the house
Favorite thing about your house? The mortgage payment. ;) It's tiny - 1600 square feet, and it is what allowed us to be able to basically not go in debt for Katie's adoption.
Least favorite thing about your house? It's 1600 square feet (or 1700, not sure which). We have 5 people here, and we homeschool. It just seems like some days there is not enough room.
One thing you are bad at? sick kids.
One thing you are good at? ummm...not sure. I don't think photography, but others do.
If you could change one thing about your circumstances, what? Being content in everything.
Who would you like to meet someday? Katie's foster parents AND birth parents.
What makes you feel sexy? This new dress I bought. I tried it on and all 3 of my "boys" liked it. I got it in red.
Who is your real life hero? My Mom. I honestly do not know how she accomplished all she did while I was growing up.
What is the hardest part of your job? Which job? Mom? Other? The Mom one is knowing that I am responsible for ensuring my children grow up to be productive members of society. The other? Dealing with people who are not happy.
When are you most relaxed? ummm...reading a romance novel.
What stresses you out? Deadlines, kids acting up, kids whining incessantly, my house being messy...really though, the house being cluttered and messy.
What can you not live without? my faith
Do you agree with the recent article that blogs are authored by narcissists? Some are, but not all.
Why do you blog? I blog to keep friends and family up to date on our lives, I also use the blog as a place to keep memories...much like an online scrapbook. I also use it as a journal (just don't always post those).

30 good things
Heather challenged herself to write down 30 things that are good about her life awhile back. Reading her list challenged me.

Take a minute to list thirty things that are great about your life (and the more trouble you have doing it, the more you need to do it!) Tuck your list somewhere safe and refer to it when you need a reminder that a sunny day is just around the corner… ”

I don't often have "rainy days" these days, but I know how much I do not focus on all that is good in my life. Reading Heather's blog, I'm often challenged to grow in my faith, to be less selfish, to be more celebratory of life. The day to day life that is truly living SHOULD be celebrated often. Because I often lose pieces of paper, and journals, I have found that the blog is a great place to write down all sorts of things...including my own list of 30 "GREAT" things in my life.
1. I have the best husband in the world...for me.
2. I have 3 amazing kids.
3. My parents love me and my family.
4. My in-laws are wonderful and loving toward our family.
5. My siblings are always there for us (yes, even the sibling-in-laws)
6. I have best friends. Yes, multiple best friends.
7. I have the privilege of being a stay at home mom.
8. We are all fairly healthy.
9. I have the best nephews in the world.
10. Dh has a job he seems to love. Makes all the difference.
11. My family fully supports my photography.
12. Such things as romance novels exist.
13. Samuel's hugs.
14. John Mark's looks he gives me.
15. Katie saying "yep" to "Are you Momma's girl?"
16. Playing a musical instrument, even if it doesn't sound too pleasant to others all the time (you have to practice a lot to make it beautiful sometimes).
17. Telephones that exist to keep me connected to friends that are far.
18. I got to experience the miracle of all that adoption is.
19. I got to experience the pain of infertility, and lived through it.
20. I got to experience pregnancy and all that goes with that.
21. Dave Ramsey, Mary Hunt, Larry Burkett and the lessons I've learned from them all giving us PEACE in finances.
22. We have a home that is not a stretch for our budget.
23. Family vacations. No matter where they are.
24. Friends who will let me call them just to chat when I'm bogged down in the myraid minute details of my life.
25. My education. I love being able to surprise people.
26. High speed internet. I remember dealing with dial-up, and I'm ever so thankful for high speed.
27. My loyal blog readers who comment.
28. Having a church family who calls to check on us, who knows us by name, and having them remember our concerns and prayer requests.
29. Having friends who will chat with me online, pretty much any time of night or day.
30. Having a faith and belief system, and knowing that I am unconditionally loved by Him.
Do you know, that this was much harder than I thought it would be. 30 things that are GREAT about my life, it seems so easy. But listing 30 things is tough, as evidenced by the...ummm...less than high and lofty ones (i.e. 26 & 12).

31. Katie sleeps through the night for the most part.
32. Being able to homeschool my children and see when they get a new concept, totally get it!
33. I'm another year older, hopefully another year wiser.

A DARE!
10 things I have done that most have not.
Is that most females? Or most people in general?
10. I have been to Disney World...umm...lets see...10 times so far.
9. Played a solo during our high school band's halftime show my Senior year, and managed to only fall during the last ever marching competition (yes it's caught on video).
8. Took 9 years of piano lessons, if you count those last few years as really taking or not (I refuse to video me playing).
7. Lived 28 years without mowing a single blade of grass (note I'm over 30 now and mourn the fact that I did learn to how to start the mower)
6. Went to 4 different colleges/universities to complete my degree in 4.5 years and 145 credit hours for a 120 credit hour curriculum...and I'm not in a military family.
5. Had my first child 2 weeks before I graduated college. I did not walk across the stage.
4. Homeschool my kids AND run a home business (I don't sleep much and I have a wonderful Dh)

High School memories, so be forewarned!
1. Who was your best friend? I had a few, but Sarah was probably my best. Although Beth was a pretty good one as well (still is actually). But then again, Carrie was sweet and we sure did get along great in college. Yet, Suzanne and I probably hold the longest friendship record...okay she probably holds that with Shannon but I definitely think she is my longest running friend. I mean, we met at swimming lessons...when we were 5 or something!
2. Did you play any sports? In high school? Not a chance. I learned my lesson in softball as a child.
3. What kind of car did you drive? Oh I was the ENVY of all my friends. I drove a nice 1988 silver Mercury Sable. Yeah, I was something alright. My parents felt like it was a SAFE care. I guess since I totaled it my senior year of high school, it was. Never knew going 35 and rear ending someone could do that much damage! LOL It was replaced by a nice safe 1988 silver Ford Taurus. We're consistent that way.
4. It’s Friday night. Where were you? Football season, I was at the game wherever it might be. Sitting in the stand, either sweating or freezing depending on the time of year in my nice oh so lovely band uniform. Yes. All 4 years of high school.
5. Were you a party animal? Depends on what you consider a party animal. LOL I was a band geek. I partied with the band geeks. Guess that answers THAT question now doesn't it. ;)
6. Were you considered a flirt? I have no clue. I had boyfriends, and lots of friends that were boys. I know I knew how to flirt, but was I flirt? Probably, but I didn't think I was then.
7. Were you in the band, orchestra or choir? Yes, as I answered above. I'm a band geek. Choir? Let's just say that my children tell to please be quiet and leave my singing ability out of the conversation!
8. Were you a nerd? Hmmm...I didn't think I was. Perhaps I should ask those friends listed above? I did graduate 2nd in the class...yeah, I guess that seals THAT. Further evidence? I think I joined just about everything I could, and was on all those lovely academic teams. LOL Just might have been a bit of nerd I guess...didn't think I was though at the time.
9. Were you ever suspended or expelled? Oh heavens no. *giggle* I was beloved by all (the teachers that is). I remember this ONE time getting sent to the principals office (yes one time in ALL my years as a student) and the principal looked at me and asked me what I was doing there. I told him. I yelled at a fellow student because he was driving me CRAZY asking to see how I worked a Calculus problem (remember that nerd thing...does getting almost 100's in Calculus make one a nerd?). Mr. Principal sent me back to the room without any punishment. I think the boy I yelled at got detention.
10. Can you sing the fight song? I do not think it has words. I can hum it VERY well. Well, honestly, I can hum the drum part, then the trumpet part that comes in...and then I might start getting confused on what the "melody" is and hum the mellophone part that I played for 6 years (our middle school band had to learn it to play at a few middle school functions).
11. Who was your favorite teacher? Oh, now, see, the "beloved by all teachers" part makes this one tough! My band teacher would probably be my favorite. Although those years of "One more time through, then circle up!" could do me in. Or, perhaps, Geometry and Algebra 2 teacher...she was really sweet. My latin teacher was always great fun. The "dreaded" Senior English teacher though, I did like her. I still say she was "misunderstood by all." OH, Mr. V....and Shakespear Studies for zero period (oooh...there's evidence I'm a nerd again, I voluntarily took EXTRA classes starting at the unseemly hour of 7:30am). Mr. S (Junior English) was pretty cool, he was also Prom Committee advisor (yeah did that too).
12. What was your school mascot? OH this one is good! A BLUE and ORANGE yellowjacket. Yeah...made sense to us then too. LOL
13. Did you go to the Prom? Oh yes. All 4 years. (hmm...could that be "flirt" answer as well?). OKay, one year, my Sophomore year I was on Prom Committee and helped "serve" and "take up tickets" and such. I even wore a matching dress with 5-7 other girls (Beth of best friend forever above did it with me).
14. If you could go back, would you? Are you KIDDING? Heck no! Now, college...I might be persuaded to go back to college when I met Dh. :)
15. What do you remember most about graduation? Big things shake to the top, little things go to the bottom. If you are going to do something, do it BIG. You want to be on top.
It's a toss up between that and the knowledge that our wacky school had Class President and Vice President give speeches instead of Valedictorian and Salutatorian (which meant I was off the hook!!!)
16. Where were you on Senior Skip Day? I'm not sure if we had one. I didn't skip, and yeah, that does give more weight to the "nerd factor" does it not?
17. Did you have a job your senior year? I wasn't allowed to work during the school year. Something about maintaining my grades. I did work at a grocery store the summer before though. :) Before scanners...I had to *gasp* type in the price for EACH item bought.
18. Where did you go most often for lunch? Since we had to stay at the school, I typically ended up eating with my friends in the band room. Yeah...that nerd/band geek thing again. I tell you, I was a PARTY animal. LOL
19. Have you gained weight since then? Why yes I have! I now weigh a whopping 12 pounds more...or maybe 15-20. I can still wear the same hideous clothes if so desired.
20. What did you do after graduation? Went to college, met Dh, got married, had a baby, THEN graduated from college. :)
21. What year did you graduate? Isn't this one of those "security questions" I had to answer somewhere? Let's say it's been long enough for me to laugh at myself there.
22. Who was your Senior Prom Date? Senior Prom? Um...Tab. That was his name. LOL
23. Are you going/did you go to your 10 year reunion? No I did not. It was only a catered dinner at a hotel not in the same small town we grew up in. It was $125 for 2 people for dinner. I had 2 YOUNG children, I was a SAHM, and well...for $125 I was not going to eat crappy catered food. Evidently others felt the same way. Only about 30-50 people showed up (that's including spouses).
For our 15 year? We're over-throwing the "rulers" and planning our own! (the class president plans)

What were you doing ten years ago?
Living in Arizona as a Newlywed and going on the "Grand Tour of Arizona" with my parents when they came to visit. We visited both the South and North rims of the Grand Canyon in 1 day! Doesn't that make you want to go on vacation with us so badly?!
What were you doing one year ago?
Stalking the mailbox/mailperson for my 171h form so I could FINALLY be DTC.
Five Snacks You Enjoy:
1. Dove dark chocolate
2. Veggie Bites - Broccoli and Cheddar
3. Dark Chocolate M&Ms
4. Oatmeal Raisin cookies
5. Trail mix

Book-a-holic I am
I am borrowing this from Susie, who shares my love of reading. Feel free to play along on your own blog!
Hardback or trade paperback or mass market paperback?
Paperbacks, mainly ones I've traded as I go through them waaaaaaaay too fast.
Amazon or brick and mortar?
Mainly my little local used book store. I think I might keep them in business by myself.
Barnes & Noble or Borders?
Barnes and Noble! I'm even getting my kids hooked on it too. Of course JM's last purchase was the DK World War 2 book (you know the kids encyclopedia kind)
Bookmark or dogear?
I always use a bookmark. Or at least some piece of paper I find laying around (like a business card, receipt, kids artwork...)
Alphabetize by author or alphabetize by title or random?
Neither. Books rarely make it to the bookshelf, those few I keep are put up randomly.
Keep, throw away, or sell?
Rarely keep any, trade/sell the rest. I have to feed my habit somehow, buying new would bankrupt us! Throwing a book away is NOT an option. I donate the rest whenever possible.
Keep dustjacket or toss it?
Keep it.
Read with dustjacket or remove it?
It typically becomes a bookmark.
Short story or novel?
Novels unless it's a collection of Christmas romance stories.
Collection (short stories by same author) or anthology (short stories by different authors)?
Neither really, unless it's Christmas love stories. LOL
Harry Potter or Lemony Snicket?
I've read all of the Harry Potter books, and loved them. Have not read Lemony Snicket. Can't wait to share the Potter books with my kids.

Typically stop reading when the book is done. If I am just too tired, then it will be a chapter.

"Once upon a time" most definitely!

then there are the Judith McNaught, Jude Deveraux, and....LOL I can go on and on.

2006 Meme...

1. What did you do in 2006 that you’d never done before?
I was fingerprinted. Left Samuel overnight with my Mom.
2. Did you keep your new year’s resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
Yes, for the most part. Yes we will make more - but they're realistic ones.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
My sis (I have another nephew) and my friend Beth.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
No.
5. What countries did you visit?
Just the USofA
6. What would you like to have in 2007 that you lacked in 2006?
Katie to join our family.
7. What dates from 2006 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
August 18, 2006 - DTC, then September 14, 2006 - LID. I have others, but not as big as those.

it could be getting Samuel pottytrained, but isn't that HIS accomplishment?

Not being patient during the wait for DTC.

I guess happier, about the same weight (could have gained a pound), and definitely richer (in both materially things and friendships)

walked, ridden my bike, spent more time outdoors with the kdis

sitting in front of the computer (and what am I doing right now?)
20. How did you be spend the New Year night?
Went to a friends house for a little while, my headache from the morning came back, we left, got home at 10pm, put the kids in bed and watched How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days (she was just evil!)

Just deeper in love with Dh and the kids.

bwaaaa haaaaa haaa...not a one.

Do you REALLY want to know? Battlestar Galactica, Stargate SG1 and Atlantis, CSI anything, NCIS, The Unit, Numb3rs, and a new SciFi show...ummm...eternity...no...Eureka! oh I really like that show (even IF I can't remember it's name)
24. Do you hate anyone now that you didn’t hate this time last year?
Don't hate anyone, but some people do make me want to scream sometimes. ;)
25. What was the best book you read?
Since I doubt you want to hear about the gushy fluffy historical romance novels, I'll put Paper Daughter by M. Elaine Mar. It was very very interesting.

Cars

Have to be being in Disney with Dh....alone...no kids.

ummm...not really sure.

Gotta share: As I've been typing this up, I've had JM working on school work (it finally clicked what alphabetical order means) and Samuel has been playing with his Word Whammer and is practicing the Alphabet song. He's just about gotten it! :) so sweet to hear his little voice singing ABCD...EFG...

I was fingerprinted. Left Samuel overnight with my Mom.

Yes, for the most part. Yes we will make more - but they're realistic ones.

My sis (I have another nephew) and my friend Beth.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
No.

Just the USofA
6. What would you like to have in 2007 that you lacked in 2006?
Katie to join our family.
7. What dates from 2006 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
August 18, 2006 - DTC, then September 14, 2006 - LID. I have others, but not as big as those.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
it could be getting Samuel pottytrained, but isn't that HIS accomplishment?
9. What was your biggest failure?
Not being patient during the wait for DTC.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Does Strep 2 times in 1 month count?
11. What was the best thing you bought?
Vacation tickets. :)
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
The kids. They are maturing quite a bit and it warms my heart.
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
The kids. Some days it doesn't seem like they will ever learn common manners.

Bills like most people, we're still climbing out of debt, and Disney.

If I had five minutes to myself, I'd

#2 I'd drink a Dr. Pepper

#4 Find a book to read
#5 Eat something chocolate!
If I had $5 to spend, I'd
#1 Buy a new fluffy romance novel
#2 Buy a package of playdoh as it keeps S entertained for hours
#3 I'd rent a movie for the kids, so I can read that fluffy romance novel.
#4 I'd call my best friend who is long distance
#5 I'd take the kids to buy a treat from the dollar store.

#1 All sibling rivalry in my house. AMEN!
#2 All whining in my house. AMEN again!
#3 Excess hand-me-down furniture that causes my house to be cluttered with junk
#4 The clutter all over my desk and Dh's desk.
